  7. To install WinWisdom 4.0 run SETUP.EXE and answer the prompts
  8. as they appear.  All of the necessary files will be decompressed
  9. and loaded into the proper directory.  A progress gauge will be
  10. displayed showing the percentage completion.  A Program Manager
  11. group will also be added for you.

  13. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:  The setup program will install some files
  14. into the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.  Under certain circumstances,
  15. the setup program may fail if a file it is loading into your
  16. WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory is already in your WINDOWS directory.
  17. If this happens, you will receive a message stating which file
  18. could not be loaded.  Search your WINDOWS directory for another
  19. file with the same name and rename it.  Run SETUP.EXE again.

  21. ANOTHER NOTE:  If you are installing this version of WinWisdom
  22. on a system which has a previous release of WinWisdom on it,
  23. you will get a file error when you execute either of the 
  24. WinWisdom programs.  This release uses a completely new database
  25. which is incompatable with the old database.  Since the WINWIS.INI
  26. file used by your old version points to an old file, the new
  27. programs will not recognize the old files as WinWisdom files.
  28. When you receive the file error, just use 'Open' or 'Select file
  29. to use' from the 'File' menu to select one of the new files.
  30. You can prevent this problem from happening by deleting WINWIS.INI
  31. PRIOR to installing the new version.  Registered users will receive
  32. a conversion program which will convert the old file format into
  33. the new file format.  See REGISTER.TXT for information on how to
  34. register WinWisdom.
